A delightful twist on the classic Korean dish, this Ground Beef Bulgogi is quick, budget-friendly, and flavorful, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup scallions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 soft boiled eggs

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it is fully browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  2. Mix the sauce: Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir everything together to evenly coat the beef.
  3. Simmer: Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Serve: Remove from heat and serve topped with scallions, sesame seeds, and a soft boiled egg.

Notes

Don’t overcook the beef; keep an eye on it to prevent it from drying out. Adjust the sweetness by adding more brown sugar or honey as desired.
