A flavorful blend of fresh ingredients that transforms any pizza into a delicious meal worth sharing.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Fresh Tomatoes, chopped (Roma or San Marzano)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 small Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • A handful Fresh Basil, torn (optional)

Instructions

  1. Sauté the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic. Sauté for about 3-5 minutes until the onion is soft and translucent.
  2. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. The tomatoes should break down and give off their juices.
  3. Season with dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and sugar. Mix well and let it simmer for another 5 minutes. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
  4. Cool before using or storing it in the refrigerator.

Notes

Choose ripe tomatoes for best results. Blend for a smoother sauce if preferred.
