A delicious Hibachi steak bowl that combines perfectly cooked sirloin steak, fresh vegetables, and flavorful fried rice, delivering a taste of your favorite Japanese steakhouse at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Sirloin Steak (Cubed)
  • 1/4 cup Mirin (Can be omitted for less sweetness)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (Minced)
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger (Grated fresh or powdered)
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Oil (Vegetable oil can replace)
  • 2 medium Carrots (Sliced thinly)
  • 1 medium Zucchini (Sliced thinly)
  • 8 ounces Mushrooms (Quartered)
  • 3 cups Fried Rice (Pre-cooked)
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce (Low-sodium recommended)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the steak by combining the sirloin cubes, mirin (if using), minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil in a bowl. Mix well and set aside for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Prepare the vegetables by slicing the carrots, zucchini, and quartering the mushrooms.
  3. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, add the marinated steak along with the marinade, and sear for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
  4. Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside to keep warm.
  5. Add a splash of oil to the same skillet if necessary, then toss in the sliced carrots, zucchini, and mushrooms; stir-fry for about 5 minutes.
  6. Add the pre-cooked fried rice to the skillet with the vegetables, stirring well to combine and heat through for another 2-3 minutes. Drizzle with soy sauce.
  7. Divide the fried rice and vegetable mixture among bowls, top with the cooked sirloin steak, and enjoy your flavorful hibachi steak bowls hot!

Notes

For optimal flavor, allow the steak to marinate for at least 10 minutes and ensure your vegetables are cut uniformly for even cooking.
